A Space for Beautiful Mistakes

How do small indie game developers work with business development? What can educational institutions do to support a spirit of entrepreneurship in their game students? What is it like to make the jump from student to game developer?

Cooperating with the Erasmus+ EU project GameBiz EU, IDSU presents this collection of interviews with four strong players from the Dutch game industry – Ronimo Games, Stolen Couch, Active Cues og Gamistry – as well as some of the most prominent game educations and icubational environments in Europe  – HKU, Bournemouth University, ENTI og University of Malta, Viden DjursDutch Game Garden, and Game Hub Denmark. Together, they hold the keys to answering the questions above – and so many more! The book is well-suited to be used as cases for educations, ans inspirations for students, game developers or educators, or even to read just for pleasure.

A Space for Beautiful Mistakes is a practically oriented companion piece to the more theoretically inclined The Business of Making Games. It works as a stand-alone sequel. A Space for Beautiful Mistakes’ book layout is by Kristian Wulff of Viden Djurs.
